Throughout the coming week (April 5-11), the Eastern Diocese will continue its online gatherings for young people. This marks the third week of the online fellowship initiative called #StayHome and #StayConnected.
The project has been launched by the Diocese’s Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, to keep young people connected virtually while they stay home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As in prior weeks, each program will be led by a member of the clergy, Diocesan staff, or ACYOA Central Council. All events begin at 7 p.m. EDT (6 p.m. CDT), using Zoom Video Conferencing.
Programs last about an hour, and include a “Diving Deep Discussion” for ACYOA Seniors (on Sunday, April 5); a “Monday Meditation” with Bishop Daniel in an interactive discussion open to all youth and young adults (April 6); and “Selfie-Saturday on Social Media” (Saturday, April 11).
Streamed Lenten services from local parishes on Tuesday through Friday (April 7-10) round out the week’s evening broadcasts, and are open to all who wish to participate.
To register and receive the Zoom Video link for Week 3, participants should click on the following link to fill out a Google Survey. (For families registering more than one child, fill out one Google survey per child.)
Additional online forums are planned for the weeks ahead—and your ideas and suggested topics are most welcome. For information and questions, please reach out to DiocesanYouthMinistries@gmail.com.
