Throughout the coming week (March 29-April 4), the Eastern Diocese will hold online gatherings for young people, as part of a fellowship initiative called #StayHome and #StayConnected.
The project has been launched by the Diocese’s Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, to keep young people connected virtually while they stay home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each #StayHome and #StayConnected event will be led by a member of the clergy, Diocesan staff, or ACYOA Central Council. All events begin at 7 p.m. EDT (6 p.m. CDT), using Zoom Video Conferencing.
Programs will last about an hour, and include a “Diving Deep Discussion” for ACYOA Seniors (on Sunday, March 29); a “Teen Talk” for ACYOA Juniors (Tuesday, March 31); a Talent Show for the Hye Camp and St. Vartan Camp age-group of 8-15 (Thursday, April 2); and “Selfie-Saturday on Social Media” (Saturday, April 4).
A “Monday Meditation” (on March 30) and streamed Lenten services on Wednesday and Friday (April 1 and 3) round out the week’s evening broadcasts, and are open to all who wish to participate.
