New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral will revive an old Armenian custom this year, when it inaugurates a monthly “Prayers for Healing” service.
The gathering aims to heal body, mind, and soul through prayer, music, Scripture-reading, and a blessing with holy water. Diocesan Primate Fr. Daniel Findikyan will preside.
The first Prayers for Healing Service will meet on Wednesday, January 23, at 6:30 p.m., in the cathedral (630 Second Ave., New York). Thereafter, services are planned to take place on the last Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to attend.
