Armenia Appoints New Consul in Chicago

Oscar Tatosian

The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the U.S. announced in late November that it will soon have a new consular post in the city of Chicago, whose jurisdiction will cover the American Midwest. The office represents the third such consular post in the U.S., following offices established in in Fresno (in 2014) and Las Vegas (2015).

Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandian, has named Oscar Tatosian as Armenia’s first Honorary Consul in Chicago. A prominent business leader in the city, and a member of the St. James Church of Evanston, IL, Mr. Tatosian is a longtime leader of the Eastern Diocese who has served as a past Diocesan Council chair, and currently serves on the Council, the Diocesan Board of Trustees, and the boards of the Fund for Armenian Relief and St. Nersess Seminary, among other leadership positions.

We offer congratulations as he adds this new role to his distinguished service.
